photography camp 2020
about photography camp 2019
In the years since I've launched my website, I've gotten request after request from mothers and teenagers wanting to learn photography to document their families or to better their craft.
For years I've just been too busy to do it - work, family, and other obligations. Now I felt it's time to give back, and teach others what I've learned along the way.
I decided to run a photography camp, rather than a generic course.
What's the difference, you ask?
Well, it's all in the fun and spirit of it.
My goal for this camp is for us to learn in a very hands-on, very fun and supportive environment.
I wanted to create a magical program, where women and teens can experience nature, get active outdoors, and create lasting friendships along the way.
The women's photography camp is structured around real life sets so you can learn to get spectacular images of your kids, and timed during the day when the kids are in school.
The teen's camp is timed for late afternoons, during the golden hour, so working teens get to join, too. Plus, it incorporates hiking mountain trails, wading creeks, and having good, wholesome summer fun while learning these valuable skills. (I wish I could have joined this program as a teen!)
Click on the programs above to learn more about the details and curriculum of each.
I hope you join and can't wait to watch you discover your talent!
i'm fraidy. i'm a photographer.
I know what magic looks like. I can see yours. I know how to bring it forward, and how to capture it with my camera. I also know what it's like to be a mother of children who are growing up too quickly. I know how they make your heart burst with joy (and some other things, too) and how you want to hold on tight and let them fly at the same time. That is why I have made it my mission to create the most magical portraits you have ever had of your family. I want to create artwork for you that is emotional enough, exquisite enough, and timeless enough to be handed down the family line as treasured heirlooms. Time flows like water, and there's only one way to freeze it. This is your story. Let me help you remember :)
