about peppermint photography camp

In the years since I've launched my website, I've gotten request after request from women and teenagers wanting to learn photography to document their families or to better their craft.

For years I've just been too busy to do it - work, family, and other obligations.

In 2019, I finally felt it's time to give back, and teach others what I've learned along the way.

I decided to run a photography camp, rather than a generic course.

What's the difference, you ask?

Well, it's all in the fun and spirit of it.

My goal for this camp was for us to learn in a very hands-on, very fun and supportive environment.

I wanted to create a magical program, where women and teens can experience nature, get active outdoors, and create lasting friendships along the way.

The women's photography camp is structured around real life sets so you can learn to get spectacular images of your kids, and timed during the day when the kids are in school.

Teen camp is timed for late afternoons, during the golden hour, so high-schoolers and working teens get to join, too. Plus, it incorporates traipsing through the woods, wading the creek, and having good, wholesome fun while learning these valuable skills. (I wish I could have joined this program as a teen!)

In the years since we first started our photography camps, they've b"H become a smashing success and our students have succeeded beyond our fondest expectations! Teens, especially, love the Beyond the Basics in-person program. Many of our Beyond the Basics campers have come back for The Editing Bootcamp and are now doing spectacular work; some are doing photography professionally. It sure does beat babysitting for pocket cash!

I am so very proud of our graduates, and I know they are, too!

If you love photography and think you would enjoy Beyond the Basics Photography Camp, I'd like to invite you to apply and join our incredible group of students.

If you have any additional questions or concerns before signing up, please feel free to reach out to me at 845-533-2270‬.

I hope you join and can't wait to watch you discover your talent!

With so much love,

Fraidy
